ROUND 7 - CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

A big thank you to all the Mums who gave up their morning with the family so that our members could come and race today.
Finally, some absolutely beautiful weather with no sign of the dreaded " R" word.
The minis were out today. It was great to see Mitchell back at the track and racing his VW. At one stage when Heavy finally gained the lead for a second or two, there was a shout of triumph and even a little jump for joy :lol: Lots of laughs from these guys. If any of you do have minis and want to come for a race bring them next Sunday for our Run What Ya Brung.
Our combined gas tourer race was well represented. Clayton, our current club champion continued to show us that he's still unbeatable at Wynnum. Peter was finally able to run after the last couple of visits where the car just wasn't ready to run.
Always good close racing in 21.5. congratulations to our new member Ryan who raced very well for his first time and many thanks to Duncan for lending him a helping hand but the Keuleman family were just unstoppable.
17.5 saw Johnny put his new shell on his car in his usual racing colors. some very close racing between Tim, Kingsley and Johnny and then some very exciting racing between Tony, Heavy and Duncan.
Thank you to Chris, Darren and Leo who did the track maintenance this week. It's looking good guys.
